When I travel down the memory lane, there are so many things to relate with, to share with you all. Like those of my scrapbooks.in which there are many

memorable moments to cherish and laugh at.

One such memory is if scrap books. It came to my mind when I see my kids and hear about kids of my friends being mobile and PUBG addicts. It’s become a delimma seeing the younger generation becoming feeling less zombies. They don’t have any particular routine. Except for to finish their homework absent mindedly. Pick up the mobile and start using it. Their eyes are constantly fixed on the screen. I feel so helpless at times on how to draw their attention towards some other activity. No matter what you try they keep coming back to usage of screens and gadgets.

If they were to be used for learning or educational purpose, I won’t have much of issue with it. But the problem here is unnecessary wastage of time and energy. They cannot utilized their time and energy in an optimal way.

We used to have so many activities. Like keeping scrap books❤️. Our favorite pastime activity. We used to spend quality time on making and decorating the notebooks with stickers, drawings, paper cuttings from other magazines or newspapers and using ribbons and laces for the beautiful outlook.

We used to compare and compete in making the scrapbooks most attractive and creative. The more it was unique with new and interesting questions to answer, the more it was popular and was filled eagerly. Girls would wait to fill out the scrapbooks and used to enjoy the remarks others had given. What a merry time it was!!

I remember we used to sacrifice our breaks to read or fill in the scrapbooks. One girl used to fill and the whole class would leap on her to see what she was writing and enjoy each comment and answer.

It would rotate among other sections and teacher’s staffroom as well to get their opinions too.

It’s a treasure that most of us have treasured for so long. Nowadays talking about it seems alien to kids. They really are unaware of such pleasant and mind blogging activities. Their minds are active enough to solve a complex gaming situation on a mobile or computer but they are unable to think creatively in crafting something or coming with new innovative deas.

How I long to see those golden times of my childhood school days with my bossom friends. The bond we shared and still share is beyond words. The simplicity of those times might not be repeated but now the little hands and minds can be nurtured in a right direction.

The rule is very simple and humble😊. Do not make them sit idle!! Give them tasks. Anything that they are capable of doing. Giving them small responsibilities and making them accountable as well, like fetching vegetables or fruits from nearby grocery store. On weekends prepare a whole day to finish piled up chores. Plan as to what you all will be doing together. Like washing the momty!!! This won’t be burden on them and instead will willingly do such small chores.

Plus we should also advice them from time to time about the negative aspects of both gadgets and idleness.

Though it might seem very small or petite but it shows its effect on the longer run.. We might not live long enough to see them prospering but we can guide them and teach them the right values and showing them right direction to use their time and energy wisely.
